Requirements / Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS: Experience: Job-related experience within a specialized field with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Education: Community College and/or Vocational School degree with study in the job-related area. Certificates & Licenses: Valid Class B California Driver's License with passenger endorsement Underground Storage Tank Systems Operator 

SUPERVISOR, FLEET MAINTENANCE Purpose Statement: The job of Supervisor, Fleet Maintenance is done for the purpose/s of supervising the overhaul, maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repair programs for gasoline and diesel powered buses, automobiles, trucks, tractors, and other District vehicles; and maintaining adequate staffing to ensure objectives are achieved within budget. This job reports to the Director, Transportation Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities 

SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skills required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including pertinent software; planning and managing projects; preparing and maintaining accurate records; organizing and communicating information and concepts; and diagnostic equipment.
